Time-Saving Recipes with Jennifer Cornbleet at LearnRawFood.com

Jennifer Cornbleet is a raw food author, speaker, coach and culinary expert in Chicago. It looks as though she keeps very busy reaching lots of folks with the message that raw foods are highly nutritious, tasty and can help the body when it comes to healing.

She wrote a paperback entitled, “Raw Food Made Easy For 1 or 2 People,” and then went the extra mile to produce a companion DVD called, “Raw Food Made Easy”. (And her newest book just came out. It’s entitled, “Raw for Dessert.”

It looks like Jennifer interacts a lot with those who are pursuing a raw food lifestyle also. She teaches raw food classes at the Living Light Institute in CA, AND also teaches in Chicago, where she currently lives.

One program is entited, “FUNdamentals of Living Foods or Essentials of Raw Culinary Arts.” Students must be attending from all over the place because there is hotel information for those who need accommodations.

According to her website, Jennifer’s emphasis (point of unique-ness) is the following:
“As I began to meet more and more people interested in improving their diets, I saw a fundamental problem with the existing information about raw food “cooking”. Preparations tended to be time-consuming, labor-intensive, and expensive. Many raw food recipes required dehydration, sprouting, and fermenting, which most of my students did not have the time and equipment for. The recipes also made 4-8 servings, which added to the cost and resulted in waste. Finally, many students were not interested in radical dietary changes, but simply wanted creative ways to get the fruits and vegetables they needed. I began developing time-saving techniques and tasty, familiar dishes that could be made with common ingredients and basic equipment, and that would appeal to mainstream America.”

Sounds like a great focus. “Time-saving” and “saving money” are high on the priority list for many of us these days.
